What Is Noni Juice?

Noni fruit, popularly known as Indian Mulberry, is native to Southeast and Southern Asia and the Pacific islands. The noni fruit has been used since ancient times for its medicinal properties, which we’ll be sharing with you in this video today. Noni fruit is rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin B3, vitamin A, and iron.
Noni juice is said to be a magical drink, as it positively affects many bodily systems. Stay tuned to become an expert in all things fantastic about drinking noni juice on a daily basis.
1. Noni Juice May Lower The Risk Of Gout
Gout is a form of arthritis caused by the buildup of uric acid crystals in the joints, which leads to joint pain. Studies have shown that noni juice can reduce uric acid in the blood and lower the risk of gout. Noni is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties and may support a healthy response to inflammation.
This in vitro study supports the traditional Polynesian use of Morinda citrifolia (noni) for treating gout. The researchers found that Tahitian Noni Juice (TNJ) and other noni extracts significantly inhibited xanthine oxidase (XO)—the enzyme responsible for producing uric acid, which contributes to gout. The inhibition was dose-dependent and, in some cases, comparable to allopurinol, a common gout medication. These findings suggest that noni juice may help reduce uric acid levels, providing a possible mechanism behind its anti-gout effects and validating its traditional medicinal use.
2. Noni Juice May Reduce Arthritis Symptoms
Noni juice is believed to help alleviate pain and reduce joint damage associated with arthritis, thanks to its natural analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. It may also ease everyday joint discomfort caused by poor posture or prolonged sitting. When combined with a healthy lifestyle, regular consumption of noni juice may help keep arthritis pain to a minimum, according to emerging evidence.
Another promising study investigated noni fruit juice made in Indonesia for its potential to treat rheumatoid arthritis —a chronic autoimmune disease. Using a special strain of mice (SKG mice) that closely mimics human RA, researchers found that noni juice significantly reduced joint inflammation and arthritis severity after just one week of treatment. Histological analysis also confirmed reduced joint damage. Importantly, repeated dosing in toxicity studies showed that noni juice was safe, with no adverse effects observed. This is the first study to scientifically suggest that noni juice may help manage rheumatoid arthritis symptoms, supporting its traditional use as a natural anti-inflammatory remedy.
3. Noni Juice May Prevent Acne

Being a powerhouse of antioxidants, noni juice can work as a great natural moisturizer when applied to the skin daily. You can also find many skincare products on the market that include noni extract. One well-known certified brand is KORA Organics by Miranda Kerr. I’ve personally used several of her products—and I loved them!
Noni fruit and its juice are packed with over 170 nutrients. It’s high in vitamin C, potassium, and a rich source of phytonutrients. Thanks to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, noni juice helps keep the skin, hair, and body free from infections. It also hydrates dry skin with its naturally emollient components that help soothe and calm irritation.
These combined benefits make noni juice a powerful natural option for acne-prone skin.

4. Noni Juice Has Anti-Aging Properties
Noni works to support collagen production by providing antioxidants and the micronutrients your skin needs to create healthy new cells. It’s rich in vitamin C and selenium. Noni juice is known to help curb the negative effects of free radicals, which can damage skin cells over time. It also contains nutritive fatty acids that help build healthy cell membranes and aid in flushing out excess toxins.
This study concludes that noni fruit juice supports skin health through multiple mechanisms. It contains phytochemicals with antioxidant properties, promotes collagen production, and prevents collagen breakdown. Together, these effects contribute to better wound healing, improved skin firmness and elasticity, and an enhanced overall skin appearance.
5. Noni Juice May Prevent Cancer
Based on the results from a number of recent studies, experts say that noni juice has tumor-fighting and immune-stimulating properties. Research has found that noni plant extract has antifungal and antitumor properties. Simple sugars and other compounds found in noni fruits and leaves have antioxidant properties, which can interact with and stabilize cancer-causing free radicals and may prevent some of the damage free radicals might otherwise cause. Not only that, but highly concentrated noni juice was shown to have natural abilities to destroy or interfere with the blood vessels needed by tumors to grow and metastasize.
This study looked at how noni juice and a chemotherapy drug called CYL work on breast cancer. Both noni and CYL individually helped reduce tumor growth, but when used together, they worked even better. CYL alone caused some harmful side effects like damage to blood cells and liver problems, but when noni was combined with CYL, these side effects were lessened. Overall, the study suggests that noni might boost the effectiveness of CYL while protecting the body from some of its harmful effects.
6. Noni Juice Reduces Stress
One of the key things to help us fight the damage of stress on our bodies is antioxidants, as well as other vitamins and minerals that help keep us healthy and prevent damage. Noni juice not only helps to deal with stress but also reduces the effect of stress on our cognitive function. It is thought that noni juice plays a part in supporting the body’s ability to maintain normal, healthy moods, regulate systems associated with nervousness and irritability, and reduce negative moods, resulting in improved productivity and emotional well-being.
7. Noni Juice Boosts Immunity
Our body’s immune system needs essential nutrients to function at peak performance. Drinking noni juice daily provides the body with a natural immune boost of the essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that the immune system needs to protect us. Whether you need to support and strengthen your immune system to fight an existing disease or just want to help it stay healthy, a daily dose of noni juice can improve and assist the immune system in its fight to keep your body in good health.
8. Noni Juice Brightens Dull Skin
As we age, our bodies get less efficient at shedding dead skin cells, which can cause skin to look dull, increase the appearance of fine lines, and even cause skin to sag. Many commercial exfoliants are actually too harsh for the skin and can make the problem worse. Homemade exfoliants containing noni juice can help brighten dull skin without causing damage. Noni is an extremely gentle but effective exfoliant. All you have to do is rub the lotion into your skin until small brown balls form on the surface. Those are balls of dead skin, dirt, and excess oil that you’ve naturally helped to shed without any harsh chemicals.
9. Noni Juice Can Treat Fever
The juice from the noni fruit has been used for hundreds of thousands of years as a natural medicine for the sick. It’s the antiviral properties in noni juice that help treat fever, cough, and even body pain. As we already know, noni can also help boost your immune system. Additionally, noni juice’s anti-inflammatory properties help you tackle infection. Drink it regularly during sickness to help your body heal faster.
10. Noni Juice Treats Scalp Infection
The same antibacterial properties that help boost the immune system can also help treat scalp irritation. We often forget that the scalp is skin too and needs care and moisture like the rest of the body. A dry scalp creates dandruff and can also lead to clogged hair follicles. A homemade topical lotion containing noni juice can reduce buildup of dirt and moisturize the scalp, as well as rejuvenate and soothe the skin. Just apply a thin layer of the lotion and leave it on for up to 20 minutes before washing off with warm water.
11. Noni Juice Protects Heart Health
Noni juice has shown positive effects in protecting heart health by improving blood flow in the arteries. It also helps regulate blood pressure, which plays an important role in maintaining heart health. In recent studies, people who drank noni juice every day showed improvement in their lipid profiles, reduced LDL (bad cholesterol), and increased HDL (good cholesterol).
12. Noni Juice Repair Sun Damage

Over time, sun exposure causes various types of damage to the skin. A common effect is leathery, discolored skin and fine lines. The skin often loosens as the sun speeds up the breakdown of collagen, which is needed for firm skin. Noni juice promotes improved skin tone and texture because it is high in antioxidants. In fact, it has one of the highest antioxidant levels per serving size of any fruit juice, which can neutralize free radicals caused by sun radiation.
13. Noni Juice Improves Quality Of Life In Cancer Patients
Noni juice has been found in a study to improve physical function, pain, and fatigue in people with advanced cancer. Participants who consumed a measured amount of noni juice every day noticed reduced fatigue and pain, along with improved physical functioning. This is a promising use of noni, but more research is needed to understand exactly how it can help.
14. Noni Juice Reduces Menstrual Pain
Traditionally, women ate unripe noni fruit roots or leaves to prevent or manage menstrual cramps. It’s unsurprising, then, that some women swear by noni juice today to help deal with menstrual pain naturally. One study looking into this claim reported that noni fruit juice reduced markers of inflammation, which helped reduce the cause of menstrual pain without the need for over-the-counter medication.
15. Noni Juice May Help With Weight Loss
There are a number of reasons why noni juice is thought to be effective at promoting weight loss. For a start, noni juice acts as an appetite suppressant, helping you go longer between meals without reaching for high-calorie snacks. Noni juice also has antioxidant properties, which help in weight loss by fighting free radicals in the body’s fat stores and improving metabolism. Additionally, noni juice promotes the production of nitric oxide in the body, which helps take up energy from fat cells. Keep in mind that drinking noni juice alone won’t cause weight loss. You’ll also need to eat a healthy, reduced-calorie diet and get plenty of exercise.

Is Noni Juice Safe To Drink for Everyone?

There’s some debate about the safety of noni juice for medical uses. While it’s considered safe when consumed as a beverage, overuse of noni juice or its extract could cause some harm. The main side effects of noni juice to be aware of are:
1. Overuse of Noni Juice May be Toxic To The Liver
The noni plant contains a compound which, if consumed excessively, was found to be toxic to the liver in some cases. Promoting noni juice has been associated with hepatitis and liver failure. For that reason, people with liver disease, including chronic hepatitis C and hepatitis B, should avoid the noni fruit altogether.
2. Noni Juice Is High In Potassium And Sugar
Noni juice is high in potassium and should be avoided by people with kidney, heart, and liver disease. Additionally, if you have any bleeding disorders or are taking blood thinners, you should avoid using noni as it could further slow blood clotting. Noni juice is also high in sugar and should be used with caution by people with diabetes.
3. Noni Juice May Be Harmful To Pregnant Women & Children
Due to the lack of research, it’s not recommended that noni be used by pregnant women, nursing mothers, or young children. Noni was once used to cause abortion, so pregnant women especially should avoid the fruit.
Fun Fact: Noni Juice Does Not Taste The Best
There are many interesting and beneficial properties of noni juice for everyday health. Unfortunately, unless you live in Hawaii, the Caribbean, or some other tropical region, you’re unlikely to find noni fruit in the produce aisle of your local supermarket. Noni juice, on the other hand, is more widely available, and if you can’t find it in a store, you’ll definitely find it online. Just click here.
Noni juice isn’t known for its delicious taste. In fact, many people call noni the “puke fruit,” so it’s actually quite the opposite. But if you can manage to down your daily dose of noni juice without too much disgust, the juice and extract will help to relieve pain, boost your immune system, and kill microbes. Noni juice may increase endurance, reduce blood pressure and cholesterol, and support skin health. The good news is that usually you can acquire a taste for noni’s unique flavor over time, especially once you start to associate it with the mood and energy lift that comes with it.
