A life filled with toxicity is not the result of bad luck or mere circumstance; it is created by a cycle of harmful habits and a negative mindset, shaped by conditioning and repeated actions, whether consciously or unconsciously.
I believe we should be living a conscious, purposeful life. We can give our lives direction toward what we believe will bring fulfillment. To do that, a vision board is a perfect tool. In this post, I want to provide you with detailed information on how to create the perfect vision board that manifests, so keep on reading!
I am passionate about creating a vision for your life, for every area of your life. Why? Because I have seen too many examples where the ideas put into the vision board do manifest, be it in my own life, my friends’, or online. It is fascinating to me.
Since I was a little girl, I had a vision for multiple areas of my life: my career, my home situation, and my marriage. At the time, I didn’t know about the tools that could help structure a life vision or the proof that it works. I simply enjoyed organizing my space, and I did the same with my plans for the future.
But growing up and reading many books on personal development and manifestation, while witnessing this phenomenon firsthand and seeing that it works, I realized that many of my ideas from childhood actually manifested!
Why Does the Vision Board Work?
You may ask yourself, How does putting my dreams on a board or in a journal actually make them materialize? After all, magic is something we see in movies, not in real life. So, will my dream house suddenly appear in front of me if I put it on a vision board?
Well, unfortunately, it’s not that simple—too bad! That would be amazing, right? But let me explain the true reason why a vision board actually works.
It’s all about clarity. Getting clear on what you want is the first step.
Like with many solutions to problems or questions, the first step is gaining clarity and awareness. With this clarity, you gain direction—you know where you are heading.
This direction helps you make the right decisions on your life’s path. Over time, as you consistently make those good decisions, you’ll find your dreams starting to come to you.
Let me share an example from my personal life.
When I was in my early teens, I decided I would attend a very good university, one that would require me to move away from my hometown. I never doubted this decision—it felt like an ultimate truth.
In my hometown, I had many friends. Some of them liked to party more than average, and some smoked. One day, a friend who had been smoking for a couple of years asked me if I wanted to try. In that moment, an unconscious process happened in my brain. It recognized that cigarettes are harmful to my body and can be addictive. It also recognized that smoking didn’t align with my ultimate goal of getting into a good university. So, I knew exactly what decision to make. I refused.
Every time someone asked if I wanted to smoke or party too often, I firmly said no—even if they tried to make me feel bad about it. I simply knew what I wanted to achieve, and that clarity kept me focused.
That’s why vision boards work. They help you focus on the tasks and decisions that bring you closer to your dreams while making it easier to refuse anything that pulls you further away!
Now, imagine if I hadn’t had any particular plans for my future. Maybe I would have been guided by seeking short-term pleasure instead. Perhaps I would have said yes to that cigarette and eventually gotten addicted to smoking. Maybe I would have partied too much.
This could have ultimately damaged my health, ruined my appearance, and affected my mental clarity. Without a clear vision, I might have lost interest in pursuing any meaningful dreams or ambitions.
What is the crucial element that makes your vision board manifest?
The secret element is belief. You need to truly believe that what you put on your vision board can become a reality. Without belief, you won’t put in the effort required to turn your dreams into tangible results.
When crafting your vision, focus on something that excites you—something compelling that inspires and motivates you. Your vision should pull you towards creating the life you desire and becoming the person you aspire to be.
I believe life is about growth. If you’re not growing, you’re stagnating. At the end of your journey, it won’t be about the material things you’ve acquired but about the person you’ve become in the process.
Why Having a Vision Board and Purpose in Life Is Important
One day, when your funeral is held and people gather to honor your life, they won’t remember the car you drove or the size of your house. Instead, they’ll talk about who you were—your character, your values, and the qualities that defined you. They’ll reflect on your mission, your purpose, and the impact you made on the world. They’ll celebrate how you contributed to society and what you gave to others.
Having a purpose gives your life meaning. Without it, why exist at all? Why wake up in the morning? Why go to the gym, earn money, or strive for better health? Why go to work each day, start a business, or pursue any goal without a purpose driving you forward?
A vision board can help you identify and align with your purpose, ensuring that your actions are meaningful and guided by the legacy you want to create.
Your Life Today Is an Exact Manifestation of Your Desires from the Past
I want you to understand that what you do today is shaping your future. You have the power to consciously design the life you want, rather than simply waking up in 5, 10, or 20 years and wondering, How did I end up here? How was this life created?
The life you have today—whether it’s one you’re proud of or one that leaves you feeling unsatisfied—is the result of the choices you’ve made up until now.
You’ve manifested exactly where you are today, even if it happened reactively. Maybe you didn’t sit down to proactively design your life, to set goals, and to decide on the vision you wanted to create. But remember: the actions you take today will shape your tomorrow.
That’s why it’s so important to take the time to think about what you want your life to look like, and to intentionally create it.
This Is the Most Important Article You Will Read
This is probably one of the most important articles on this blog because everything that I have today, everything that I am today, and everything that you have today, is something that we have both created.
I created everything in my life as a thought, an idea, an image in my mind. It started as something in my head, something that I could focus on consistently, and it allowed me to manifest who I am today and what I have today.
I want you to understand the importance of this idea, why it’s valuable, and why it’s crucial for you to create a plan and a vision for your life. This vision is essential for evolving and making your life better. Of course, the plan you have today might change as time goes on, but having a plan at all is far better than having none.
When creating your vision board, it has to be exciting! It has to be juicy, compelling, and something that truly excites you.
The language, the words, how you phrase everything—it’s all incredibly powerful. There is no right or wrong way to do this. When you look at your vision board, you should feel motivated, happy, and as though you already have everything you desire. It’s this feeling, this experience in the present moment, that will allow you to create it in your future.
Now, when it comes to the practical side of creating your vision, I break life down into different areas. This is important to understand. I break it down into seven core areas of life, and I originally learned this from Tony Robbins.
How To Create A Vision Board – Step by Step Guide
I break it down into seven core areas of life. For you, it might be more or fewer areas, but I focus on these seven core categories, as they represent the main aspects of my life. You want to make sure that your vision encompasses all of them, not just one area like finances, but multiple areas of your life. This is how you create a holistic plan for a fulfilling life.
Life Area 1: Your Health & Fitness
The first life area to focus on is what I call your physical body. This encompasses more than just how you look or your level of fitness—it’s about how you feel and your overall health. It’s important to understand the distinction: fitness refers to your physical capacity—your strength, endurance, and speed—while health is about the optimal functioning of your body.
Health means that every part of your body is operating at peak efficiency: your organs, liver, kidneys, digestive system, respiratory system, lungs, brain, hormones, cells, and blood are all performing at their best. When that happens, you experience an explosion of energy, radiance, and vitality.
You need to have a clear vision for your physical body. Ask yourself how you want to feel and look. For me, I’ve defined my vision: I want to be fit, live in accordance with my hormonal cycle, respect my body, have peak energy levels. That’s part of the life plan I’ve created for my physical health.
Make sure your vision and life plan include a detailed picture of your health and fitness goals—it’s the foundation for living a vibrant and energized life.
Life Area 2: Your Mind
The second life area is your mind and emotions. This includes your mindset, attitude, and beliefs—because your beliefs shape your behavior and ultimately, your reality. It’s essential to cultivate empowering beliefs that move you forward and to eliminate limiting beliefs that hold you back. Your philosophy toward life stems from these mental frameworks, so ensuring they align with your goals is crucial.
Equally important are your emotions, which form the essence of your life experience. We all want to experience more positive emotions—love, happiness, joy, gratitude, bliss, ecstasy, peace, confidence, and high self-esteem. At the same time, we aim to let go of negative emotions like depression, anger, frustration, doubt, and fear, which prevent us from fully embracing life.
To thrive, you need a clear vision for this aspect of your life. Define the mindset you want to adopt and the emotions you aim to embody. Personally, my vision includes cultivating emotions that uplift me and a mindset that supports my goals. Make sure your life plan incorporates a vivid vision for your mental and emotional well-being, as this is the key to living a fulfilling and balanced life.
Life Area 3: Relationships
The third life area centers on your relationships, particularly your intimate relationships. As human beings, we are wired for connection, love, and intimacy. Relationships have the power to bring the greatest emotional fulfillment, passion, and joy, far surpassing the temporary highs of material success or personal achievements. The love and support of a partner can amplify your life experience, fueling your sense of purpose and happiness in a way that nothing else can.
Having a vision for your relationships is crucial because who you choose to share your life with is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make. The right partner can empower you, supporting your dreams and purpose, while the wrong relationship can lead to emotional or even financial strain. Whether your vision includes marriage, building a family, or exploring life’s adventures with a soulmate—or maybe choosing to stay single and independent—it’s important that it aligns with your values and desires.
For me, my vision includes sharing life’s magic moments with my beloved, traveling the world, creating a family, and enjoying a life full of love, fun, and adventure. Your vision might look entirely different, and that’s perfectly okay. Whether you dream of commitment, independence, or something in between, your life plan should reflect what truly excites and fulfills you. After all, your relationships should enhance your life in a way that feels authentic and meaningful to you.
Life Area 4: Your Career & Business
The fourth life area focuses on your career and/or business—an area where you’ll spend a significant portion of your life. Your career or business is deeply tied to your purpose and mission, so it’s essential that it brings you fulfillment and aligns with the vision you have for your life. Whether you’re passionate about becoming a doctor, lawyer, engineer, artist, or athlete, or if you dream of building a business, this area should not only provide you with financial security but also contribute to your happiness and personal growth.
If your goal is to pursue a career, consider how it can support your greater life vision and help you make an impact in the world. If your dream is to start a business, imagine what you’d want to create, the value you’d bring, and the problems you’d solve. What kind of lifestyle would your business allow you to live? Personally, my vision includes creating content, that impact millions of lives and add meaningful value. Whatever your path, make sure it’s something that excites and inspires you while helping you build the life you want.
Life Area 5: Your Finances
Number five is our finances, your finances. Now, money is a part of life. It’s a part of society, and you got to make sure that you have a vision for that. You have a plan for that. You got to make sure that you know whether whatever that is for you that you have money for your retirement. Maybe your financial vision is to be making six figures a year, or maybe be worth six figures, or maybe it’s to be a millionaire or a multi millionaire, or a billionaire or a trillionaire.
I don’t care what your vision is—as long as it inspires and excites you. It’s important to get clear on what that vision looks like and how it would manifest in your life. It’s not just about having money in a bank account but about what you would do with it. Would you give it away? Would you contribute by building houses or schools? Or would you buy nice cars and clothes, live in multiple homes, or settle in one dream home or apartment? If having material possessions motivates you, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. What matters is that you include these details in your vision and get clear on what they mean to you.
Life Area 6: Social Life & Family
Number six is what I call your social life, encompassing family, friends, and fun. You could break this into separate categories if you prefer, but I like to group it all under one essential area of life. Your social life includes your family, and it’s crucial to have a vision for how you want it to grow. Maybe you want to take an epic family trip once a year, creating more magical moments, expressing more love, sharing more openly, communicating frequently, and helping each other more often.
Even if you don’t have the best family relationships, this area of life is still important. It’s often our greatest source of love. The first man you ever loved was your father, and the first woman you ever loved was your mother. Whether they were good or bad parents, alive or no longer with you, it’s vital to resolve those relationships and make peace with them.
Having goals and a positive outlook for your family is key, because unresolved issues here can cause pain and affect every other area of your life. These relationships form the blueprint for how you handle emotions and future connections.
When it comes to friends, the people you surround yourself with shape who you become. You need to consciously decide who you spend your time with—whether that’s positive, happy, successful people, leaders, or individuals who align with your vision. Be intentional about creating a vision for the kind of friendships and connections you want in your life.
Finally, don’t forget fun! Life isn’t just about work or responsibilities. It’s essential to nurture the inner child within you, make time for joy, and grow this part of your life too.
Life Area 7: Spiritual Life
Number seven is your spiritual life. I firmly believe we are spiritual beings—not human beings having a spiritual experience, but spiritual beings having a human experience, as Wayne Dyer so beautifully said. Life is more than just this moment, more than just your physical body. If you believe life is simply about existing until age 80 or so and then it ends, your experience of life may feel limited.
I believe life extends beyond this physical existence—that our spirit, our soul, is far greater. We’re on a temporary journey in these bodies, but there’s so much more to our essence. Having a spiritual practice, whether through religion or another belief system, amplifies and enhances your experience of life. It doesn’t matter what you believe, but having some form of spirituality can provide profound meaning and purpose.
Life is filled with uncertainty, adversity, and challenges, many of which seem unjust or inexplicable. You won’t always understand why certain hardships arise. However, through spirituality, you can cultivate a deeper sense of consciousness, finding guidance and seeing blessings or gifts even in tough situations. Believing that everything happens for a reason or serves a higher purpose can enrich your perspective and empower you in indescribable ways.
For me, spirituality is an important area of life, one that complements and supports every other aspect. While these seven areas may resonate with you, it’s perfectly fine to adjust them to suit your unique journey. Whether you focus on six, seven, eight, or even more areas, what matters is that your vision encompasses every essential element of your life—not just your business or finances, but your relationships, health, personal growth, and spiritual connection too.
Drafting Your Vision Board: Think Like a Child When Creating Your Vision Board
When it comes to creating your vision, I like to break it down into three main components. Let’s start with the first: your vision itself.
To craft your vision, I recommend dedicating an hour or two—maybe longer—to this process. Find a quiet space or play some inspiring music that lifts your mood and sparks creativity. The key here is to channel your inner child. Children don’t impose limitations on themselves. Unlike adults, who often think in terms of what’s realistic or possible, kids dream freely and limitlessly. They don’t get discouraged by doubts or restrictions.
If you don’t already realize it, everything is possible. Many things once deemed impossible became realities because someone dared to believe in them. Consider electricity: people mocked Thomas Edison for his vision, but his belief and persistence made the impossible possible, and now we all benefit from it. There was also a time when going to the moon was considered an unattainable fantasy. Yet because someone had the vision and the determination to make it happen, space travel became a reality, forever changing humanity’s perception of what’s achievable.
You need a vision that inspires and excites you. To create it, tap into that childlike sense of wonder where anything is possible. Imagine freely—don’t hold back. Think about when you were a kid. If someone asked you what you wanted for Christmas, you might have said, “I want my own island” or “I want a unicorn.” As adults, we often lose that ability to dream without limits. But it’s in that limitless space that your ultimate vision will emerge.
So, the first step is to allow yourself to dream big, without restrictions. Think about everything you want in your life—be bold, be creative, and let your imagination soar. Once you’ve crafted that vision, the next step is to identify your purpose.
Drafting Your Vision Board: Determine Your Life Purpose
Okay, so now that you have a vision, the next crucial step is to connect it with a clear purpose. This is the why behind your vision—why do you want to achieve the things on your vision board? Why do you want to have optimal health, energy, and vitality? Why is mastering your mind and emotions, and experiencing joy and happiness, so important to you? Why do you want that perfect relationship?
Understanding your purpose is key. You need to tap into the deeper reasons behind your goals. It’s about clarifying why these things matter to you on a personal level. Take out a journal, a notebook, or your computer and begin writing down your thoughts. Don’t worry about perfection—just start. Write it down in detail and allow it to flow. You can always refine it later, adding more excitement and passion to make your purpose even more powerful.
Once you’ve written your purpose down, you’ll have a deeper understanding of why you want to pursue this vision, and that’s where true motivation begins. After that, we can move on to defining your goals—the actionable steps that will take you toward realizing your vision.
Write Down Your Goals to Manifest Your Vision Board
Your vision might be something grand, something that’s 10, 20, 30, or even 50 years out. It might seem totally unrealistic or beyond your comfort zone right now. And that’s okay! It’s meant to be big and bold. However, your goals are the practical, attainable steps that will get you closer to manifesting that vision. These are the bite-sized, more realistic pieces of your vision that you can focus on right now.
For your goals, break them down into different time frames: one-year goals, three-month goals, and monthly goals. Here’s an example: If your ultimate vision for your body is to be a specific weight or body fat percentage, your one-year goal might be to lose 5 pounds, or maybe to gain 5 pounds of muscle. Or, if you aim to do a cleanse every year, you could set a goal to complete a 15-day juice fast, which aligns with your overall vision for your body.
When it comes to your mind and emotions, your goals could include habits like doing a morning ritual every day or attending a meditation retreat. For relationships, maybe it’s setting aside time for a fun trip or vacation. For your career, your goals might include taking action on a specific project, signing up for a course, or running marketing campaigns.
These yearly goals are the small, actionable steps that, over time, will bring your vision to life. It’s all about consistency. These bite-sized chunks add up, and when you consistently take action day by day, month by month, year after year, you’ll make steady progress toward your ultimate vision. Even if it takes a few years to reach your big goal, every small step will get you there.
That’s why it’s important to break your goals down into manageable time frames—monthly, three-month, and yearly milestones. Each year, as you set new goals, you’ll continue to make progress toward realizing your vision, moving closer to the life you’ve always imagined.
Practical Example for 2025
As I mentioned before, there are several areas of your life where I encourage you to have a clear vision. Here, I’ll share my personal vision for this blog in the coming year, along with how I plan my goals.
My Ultimate Vision for This Blog: I envision this blog becoming a go-to place for any woman who wants to be successful in life. By success, I mean more than just financial achievements or milestones like getting married. I’m talking about profound fulfillment in all areas of life. This includes having a happy, fulfilling marriage, a confident mindset as a woman in a challenging world, and the ability to be a loving and nurturing mother, empowering your children to navigate life’s challenges. It also includes achieving your best possible health and well-being.
My Purpose: Why am I doing this despite having a good job and a busy life on the side? Because I believe that we have full control over how our lives unfold. I’ve undergone immense personal growth as a woman, discovering my femininity and learning how to balance my masculine and feminine energies to achieve what I want. I want to share this journey and inspire others. I’ve seen people close to me, women with so much potential, but they don’t see it themselves. This hurts me. I want to inspire those women to recognize their worth, work on their mindset, and ultimately live happier, more fulfilled lives. This is the message I want to spread. I want to create an encouraging community of women who are committed to improving their lives and achieving their goals.
How Can I Do It? My Goals:
3-Year Goal: I believe that within three years, my blog can attract at least 30,000 visitors per month.
1-Year Goal (2025): In 2025, I aim to publish at least 40-60 high-quality articles covering all seven areas of life. These articles will provide real value to my readers and offer actionable insights. Additionally, I will work on improving the appearance of my blog, but I’ll keep the details private for now for obvious reasons. 😉
1st Quarter Goal:
- Publish at least 10 high-quality articles.
- Work on the blog appearance (I don’t want to share the details, but your goals should be as detailed as possible).
- Expand the audience (I don’t want to share the details, but your goals should be as detailed as possible).
- Start drafting a product I plan to create (I don’t want to share the details, but your goals should be as detailed as possible).
2nd Quarter Goal:
- Publish at least 10 high-quality articles.
- Continue improving the blog appearance.
- Continue expanding the audience.
- Progress further on drafting the product.
3rd Quarter Goal:
- Publish at least 10 high-quality articles.
- Keep working on the blog appearance.
- Continue expanding the audience.
- Have the full product draft ready.
4th Quarter Goal:
- Publish at least 10 high-quality articles.
- Continue working on the blog appearance.
- Keep expanding the audience.
- Launch the product.
By setting these detailed goals for each quarter, I will steadily work toward creating a platform that empowers women and encourages them to live their fullest lives. Each goal is designed to help me grow and evolve, and ultimately, to bring my vision to life.
Words of Encouragement From Me to You
Okay, so I’m going to share a few more things with you. You can create the vision board once, but you can evolve it. This is something I do every year. I set my yearly goals, and then every three months and month, I set new goals as I go. I’m always readjusting when necessary to make sure I’m on course to achieve the vision I have for myself.
Now, another thing I do, which is also powerful, is take my vision, my life plan, and frame it. You can put it in your office so that you can read it every day. What this does is ensure that you see it daily.
I hope this article was helpful to you, and I thank you. I honor and appreciate you for reading it. But most importantly, I hope you take action with this—apply it, and implement it into your life. By doing so, and when you read it every day, it will unleash your energy, motivation, and power. It’s just a matter of time before you build and create the life you really want.
